THOUGHT YOU KNEW THE GAME OF ANIMAL GOLF?
- NAPERVILLE, IL, February 24, 2006 - Kromphardt Golf, the product development company, started selling its new golf game, "Animal Golf - More Animals...More Fun! " last week online at www.animalgolf.com. Code named "The Expansion Pack" during its development, it delivers on the company"s promise to give the hundreds of thousands of Animal Golfers what they want... MORE ANIMALS!
The Animal Golf Game that debuted in the 1990"s is the fun and original on-course game of golf hot potato, where the potatoes took the form of four plastic bag tags featuring original cartoon characters. These four characters represented the four major hazards of the game of golf and included The Gorilla, out-of-bounds, The Frog, water hazard, The Camel, sand trap, and The Snake, 3-putt. The game sold better than expectations and to all ages and skill levels.
But the great game of golf is full of hazards and pitfalls. Listening to its Customers, Kromphardt Golf decided to triple the number of Animals in order to represent the rest of the hazards and pitfalls that make game of golf so great. "We have tripled the fun", says Kelly Kromphardt, President of Kromphardt Golf. "The game is now a 12 Animal Game, has a diverse customer base, and plays to all skill levels." Most of the Company"s new Animals can even be had on any given Sunday by our PGA Tour Pros. They include:
The Turtle, for a tee shot short of the fairway
The Armadillo, for a hard bounce or ricochet off a cartpath, rock, or the like
The Duck, for that massive hook or slice
The Woodpecker, for whacking a tree, house, or other wooden object
The Alligator, for The Unplayable Lie
The Gopher, for The Lost Ball
The Chicken, for leaving you putt short
The Skunk, for a triple bogey or higher
The objective of playing Animal Golf like golf in general is to have fun, to score well, and to avoid the hazards and pitfalls of the game. As a golfer winds up in trouble they are presented with the appropriate game tag. That tag is theirs until another player in their group gets into the same trouble at which time the tag passes to that player, and so on. Any golfer holding tags at the end of play loses accordingly.
Animal Golf is also marketed as an on-course gambling game whereas value of some type is assigned to the game tags. A number of alternative rule variations have been published at http://www.animalgolf.com/rules.htm, including an outing favorite, The Animal Golf Scramble.
Just in time for the beginning of the 2006 Golf Season and MADE IN THE USA, "Animal Golf - More Animals...More Fun! " is scheduled to begin shipping the week of March 20. Joining the original game in distribution this April, look for it online and along side the Original Animal Golf Game at Pro Shops and Golf Retailers worldwide.
The Original Animal Golf Game sells for around $20.00. Animal Golf - More Animals...More Fun! has an MSRP of $24.95.
