Findlay images accepted for "Dream States" Juried Competition

/24-7PressRelease.com/ - Merrimack, NH - May 24, 2005 -- New Hampshire fine art photographer Lynne Guimond Findlay will be among the artists exhibiting works at "Dream States", an upcoming juried exhibition sponsored by the Caladan Gallery (Beverly, MA).

Mrs. Findlay will be displaying three works: "Dancer I", "Dancer II", and "Fire IV." These photo-based illustrations were created specifically for the show and it is the first time they will be displayed publicly. Although she is known primarily for her film-based and digital photography, Mrs. Findlay is also gaining recognition for her digital and photo-based artwork. (In 2004, her work was exhibited at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art. More recently, several mandala images from her upcoming book were displayed at Martin"s PhotoGraphix in Nashua, NH)

According to Marjorie Kaye, Caladan Gallery director, "The submissions for this exhibition were extensive and exceptionally powerful. We had a very difficult time making our choices, as there were so many entries that were incredibly compelling and well executed. The work we chose represents the most diverse and descriptive answers to the questions proposed regarding the nature of the Dream. These works reflect the dream symbols and experiences of many countries, cultures, and individuals, and we are very pleased to be presenting this exhibition to the many viewers that visit the gallery from all over."

Findlay"s images - as well as those of the other selected artists -- can be viewed at www.caladangallery.com from June 1 - June 30, 2005. (After that, the exhibition will be available for online viewing as an archive.)
