Dream Job Boot Camp Launches Contest for Free Session and Hotel Package

/24-7PressRelease.com/ - (CHICAGO, IL. - March 23, 2005) All About Careers, a comprehensive resource for job hunters, has launched a contest for applicants, aged 19 - 25, to win a free registration to its Dream Job Boot Camp " and two nights lodging at Hotel Allegro Chicago. "All About Careers Dream Job Boot Camp ": Guerilla tips, tactics and strategies for the seriously motivated career-seeker" has sessions scheduled for May 16 and 17; June 16 and 17, and August 3 and 4, 2005 at the East Bank Club, 500 N. Kingsbury Street, Chicago, Ill.

The intensive workshops, led by top recruitment, marketing, sales, and headhunting professionals, are geared toward college seniors and recent graduates who are conducting job searches. The program will arm participants with the tools they need to identify and land a job that best meets their skills, qualifications and career objectives. Class size is limited to ensure personal consultations and advice.

"College career placement centers generally offer generic advice that is readily available in books or online. The Dream Job Boot Camp, taught by business professionals, offers innovative advice that helped me secure three interviews that I wouldn"t have gotten without their help. I am better now at marketing myself and am better able to handle the interviewing process," says Sharon Lee, who attended the program in January.

Because the facilitators currently work with both job-seekers and employers, they enjoy first-hand knowledge of the job market, career opportunities, hiring trends, and the most successful job-hunting strategies, as well as sales and marketing expertise.

"Our program offers more than just resume writing and interviewing tips," says Laurie Kahn, president, Media Staffing Network, founding partner of All About Careers and a key facilitator for AAC Dream Job Boot Camp . "Each participant will graduate from the program with a practical, easy-to-implement strategy to land a job, as well as information on how to succeed once they enter the workplace."

A sample of the in-depth sessions includes:
Ö‚· Identifying and finding a dream job
Ö‚· Selling yourself - even if you have more potential than
experience
Ö‚· Networking, marketing yourself and personal branding
Ö‚· Demonstrating your "Emotional Intelligence"
Ö‚· Overcoming employer bias against hiring recent graduates
Ö‚· Making the transition from student to employee

A highlight will be a Career Launch Networking party. This event gives participants practice and hands-on training at professional networking and a chance to meet with recruiters and hiring managers.

All About Careers is an organization that provides innovative approaches to creating and building careers. In addition to the AAC Dream Job Boot Camps, AAC"s support services help people with strategic support in career coaching, building resumes with a difference and other key areas of job hunting support.
