The models, hand crafted to exacting standards, are built to scale as a miniature replica of the actual historic ships. They are available in both the sailing, tall ship models and the famous steamships that were once the favored means of travel for the rich and famous. Other models represent the famous racing yachts, steamboats and Viking longboats.

They are hand made from scratch using plank-on-frame construction methods. The hull is joined by many pieces of dry thin strips of wood. glued together.

A special imported glue is used to bond the strips securely and to resist any tendency to split, crack or twist with a weather change. Only highest quality woods are used such as rose wood, mahogany, ebony, black wood and teak.
