Surface Safely with the new "Diver Signal Tube with Webbing Deployment System"
- HONG KONG, September 10, 2006 - It greatly reduces the risk of entanglement normally faced with free-floating string or cord and also eliminates the need to carry a dedicated reel.
For most divers that have not had the benefit of technical diver training, sending up a Safety Sausage from your Safety Stop depth can be daunting task.
Some of the obstacles faced included:
- the string or cord which often comes with the average Safety Sausage has an inherent risk of entanglement while deploying at depth.
- reels which can be quite bulky and require a certain amount of skill and training in their use are not carried by the normal recreational diver. They are also an additional expense for the diver.
With the new Webbing Deployment System WDS TM Divers of all skill levels can now easily deploy a Safety Sausage while on their Safety Stop. As a safety issue this greatly reduces the risk of entanglement normally faced with free-floating string or cord. It also eliminates the need to carry a dedicated reel.
The compact lanyard is secured with an elastic cord and automatically unravels itself underwater on deployment.
Upon ascent the webbing is easily gathered up in small loops as per the instructions provided and once again secured with the elastic cord and is ready for the next dive.
Surface Marker"s use of both Yellow and Red on alternate sides of the buoy ensures that you will be visible in all types of lighting conditions from your late afternoon dive with surface glare to your night dive with the use of artificial light reflecting off the bright yellow side of the buoy.
