- January 02, 2007 - The "Time-Tested Relationships Tips" subscription is the brainchild of author Sheryl Kurland, who wrote the coffee-table book "Everlasting Matrimony: Pearls Of Wisdom From Couples Married 50 Years Or More" (ISBN 1-56167-841-4). Said Kurland, "Once the weekend is over and the Monday work-week launches, people tend to forget about nurturing their personal relationships on the homefront. Starting the week off with a relationship tip in their e-mail will, literally, help couples keep the relationship with their loved one on the radar screen."
According to Kurland, "You can analyze relationships all you want to figure out what"s wrong but the advice in these time-tested tips from real-life experts, couples who"ve been-there-done-that, will help other couples get their relationships right."
To subscribe, individuals simply fill in their e-mail address in the sign-up box at www.EverlastingMatrimony.com; no personal data is required. Subscribers get a new relationship tip in their e-mail every Monday. The Time-Tested Relationship Tips are acquired from couples married at least 50 years who reside across the U.S. Either a husband or wife is individually quoted in each tip.
Ms. Kurland"s "Everlasting Matrimony" book was chosen by Dr. Laura (Schlesinger) as her 2006 Valentine"s Day Book Selection. On her Dr. Laura Radio Show, she hailed the book as "Terrific...Amazing...I think this says it all.....This is a beautiful, touching, informative book." In a Leeza Live! radio interview with Ms. Kurland, actress/radio host Leeza Gibbons called Everlasting Matrimony "...the book version of "When Harry Met Sally.""
Two other books are under development by Ms. Kurland: 1) "101 Marriage Traditions," a round-up of 101 interesting/unique traditions practiced by couples; and 2) "Belch, Fart, Diss - How The ?!*!*?? Did I Marry This?," a marriage handbook based on her research/interviews with couples married 50 years or more.
