Christian Ihenacho Tapped For Action Congress Party Candidate for House of Representatives
- RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA, January 05, 2007 - The African Continent is at a crossroad of economic and democratic reforms. Stable African democracies can be formulated by members of government that understand the need for integration into the global economy with focus on economic growth and political stability, which can be achieved by building a stronger trade relationships with Africa"s northern and western neighbors.
Christian Ihenacho
He is one of those individuals. His understanding of the environmental management and economic needs of West Africa, his experience and connections within the United States, and his western education, gave him a distinguished insight into a dynamic and prosperous future between the most populous country in Africa - Nigeria and the United States of America.
Nigeria is also at a crossroads and needs proper guidance by people of selfless endeavors. All over in Nigeria, the average person does not have access to quality living. Quality education and essential public services (healthcare, roads, power, water and sanitation), are either inadequate or grossly substandard. There is excessive unemployment, which is effecting Nigerian economy and making it difficult for college graduates to find jobs. Most cities in Nigeria have major solid waste management problems with resultant poor environmental and health conditions, which compound public health concerns and the spread of HIV/AIDS.
In light of the need to secure credible, strong and competent candidates with passion to serve in the interest of the public, and to help address the problems of Nigeria, the Action Congress (a rapidly growing major political party in Nigeria) has tapped Mr. Christian N. Ihenacho to run for the Federal House of Representatives under the party"s platform. Mr. Ihenacho is a Nigerian national, an environmental specialist, President of OJI Environmental Services, and Chairman of the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce-USA, both California based establishments.
Mr. Ihenacho is committed to supporting economic and democratic reforms in Nigeria, which is geared towards the improvement of quality of life of the people in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. To this effect, he is determined to actively participate in advancing the following:
• Ensure that Nigeria plays more active role in seeking support and providing help to the people of Africa to overcome the spread of HIV/AIDS;
• Ensure that Nigeria plays more active role as full partner in developing trade and prosperity of Africa and the world;
• Ensure that Nigeria is engaged and an effective partner in the global efforts to fight terrorism, strengthen security and prosperity all across the African continent.
• Positions one, two, and three can be accomplished by providing essential public services in the areas of education, infrastructure development, environment management, agriculture, potable water, and reliable energy supplies (These are fields I have particular expertise in); and
• Educate the masses about benefits of democratic and economic reforms that empower and encourage more active participation.
Fundamentally Mr. Ihenacho believes in service to the people, so after years of education, living and working in the United States, he also desire to do the following:
• To give something back to his people;
• To help improve the quality of life of my people through better environmental management and job creation; and
• To have the opportunity to influence policies and programs that will enable his children, and their friends born in the United States and beyond to learn more about African customs and traditions through cultural exchange programs.
