NAAMA, NON-PROFIT News

With a mission of providing humanitarian aid worldwide, NAAMA and its member physicians responded to the conflict with a nationwide fundraising effort.

- STERLING HEIGHTS, MI, February 05, 2007 - As the disaster unfolded-as even as many of their own extended families required help-the outpouring support from NAAMA doctors can only be described as remarkable, building a $100,000 donation fund to provide vulnerable families the resources needed for survival. NAAMA responded to United Lebanon Relief with a $50,000 donation as a telethon sponsor to support the Lebanese Red Cross.

This fund will restore physical and health programs for children and families via CHF International in partnership with the Lebanese Red Cross to deliver programs to children this holiday season. A press conference will be held in Lebanon by ULR Ambassador Mrakadi and the CHF International team led by Ayman Abdallah to announce how the monetary support will provide for identified programs in the region.

"While we have always been supportive of medical and humanitarian needs worldwide, our recent efforts to help the children and families of Lebanon will give us an opportunity to help those who need it most, especially around the holidays," says Dr. Haifa Azawi, NAAMA"s national president.
