Justactive adds new "Active Learners" category to holiday choices
- February 07, 2007 - Increasingly holiday companies that can provide opportunities for their customers to try new activities such as climbing, sailing, canoeing, hill walking etc whilst on holiday are seeing an increasing level of uptake. It is important for these types of activities to be carried out whilst under the supervision of a qualified instructor in order to significantly reduce any risk and those companies that are providing these options go to great lengths to ensure safety is treated as number one priority.
The new website http://www.justactive.co.uk/ has been set up with the purpose of helping customers research and book their activity holidays and adventure travel. The site has ever increasing amounts of information and advice on all aspects of activity holidays and provides a number of links out to other helpful sites that will help customers in their decision process.
Just Active also has an online forum which is a useful place for people interested in activity holidays to go and ask questions of other holidaymakers and people interested in similar subjects.
Included in the site are a range of activity holidays from leading UK travel suppliers which represent some of the most competitive "offers" in the marketplace. Holidays featured typically include sailing holidays based at the Mediterranean and Caribbean Beach clubs through to trekking holidays in Peru and overland holidays in Southern India. Visitors can view a summary of the holiday available along with the activities featured and then send an enquiry direct to the holiday company to take advantage of the special price reductions.
A recent innovation is that Just Active attempts to highlight holidays that are most appropriate for what it calls "Active Learners" - holidaymakers who gain a sense of satisfaction from having improved their skill level in some activity or other over the course of their holiday. This might be handling a sailing dinghy, water-skiing, off-road mountain biking - any one of a number of activities. For easy reference these holidays are highlighted throughout the site via use of an "Active Learners" logo.
