Leipzig/Tel Aviv, 22nd of January 2009: After last year’s premier, the wine growing country Israel presents itself again with a joint booth at the international trade fair for wine and spirits ProWein 2009 in Dusseldorf.

Israel has developed into one of the most dynamic and exciting wine regions in the world within the past few years. It’s not surprising that more than 14 wines from the Promised Land have scored over 90 points at the great wine tasting sponsored by the Wine Advocate. The author of the article in the Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate magazine, Mark Squires, comments: “The corner has been clearly turned qualitatively. Israel has a real wine industry that deserves consumer attention. These are attractive wines with typicity and some distinction. Many are classic and charming, and the best will impress anyone.”

You can taste and appreciate the following wines appraised by Robert Parker at the Israeli joint booth at ProWein 2009 in Dusseldorf hall 6 (booth G60) from March 29th to 31st. The following wineries will be present: Binyamina, Galil Mountain, Golan Heights, Recanati, Tishbi and Vitkin.

The Israeli joint booth is being sponsored and organized by the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute at Tel Aviv. For the first time ever a German PR agency is supporting the project. The agency of choice is Bestsidestory out of Leipzig.
